Yin And Yang

Sometimes I like you,
      sometimes I hate you,

 at times I adore you,
at times I despise you,

you are so perfect for me,
and I am with many flaws,

you chose me from thousands,
for me you are the only one,

I think you are my fascination,
yet, you are my destination.

  1. The closing lines tell us all. We can't escape. A nice one Vandana.

  2. Love those last two lines, and I also like the ambiguity of the third stanza. Maybe they're not so different after all...

  3. ah....I too am thinking about that third stanza...."perfect for me" does not mean without flaws. So perhaps their flaws complement each other?
So glad you posted to the prompt!

    1. I like being loved despite our flaws. Like flicking off the flies and keeping the prize

  6. I like the idea that one's destination is one's fascination.

  7. you chose me from thousands,
for me you are the only one,

It is a double coincidence of wants benefiting to both in the serious business of love. Why not Vandana!

  9. “You chose me from thousands..”. I found that very poignant. The subject of the poem is supported beautifully by the couplet structure. 😊
