And To Dust We Shall Return

We start from dust,
glaze with fire,
and God’s trust,
life grows into an emotional garden,
with sins and pardons,
we head on to the path,
sometimes right and just,
sometimes wrong and unjust.

But remember,
there’s no eternity here,
and to dust we shall return,
until we reach Lord’s lair.

  6. Imperfect, impermanent, fragile and beautiful -- we indeed return to dust, our particles blown across the sky, like so many stars..Thanks for sharing your truth-filled poem.

  8. Nicely written, Vandana. I wouldn't argue with one word. You told it very nicely.

  9. The Lord's lair is an interesting, but fitting combination of words, I guess. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
