Hoping For A Miracle : Trimeric

She hopes for a miracle,
to save his withering soul
that will defy the law,
and moon will forever glow.

To save his withering soul,
she will do anything that takes,
to challenge the Himalayas Or the flowing Ganges.

That will defy the law,
conquering the death-jaws,
his life will prolong.

And moon will forever glow,
underneath the love,
she always hoped.

Trimeric \tri-(meh)-rik\ n: a four stanza poem in which the first stanza has four lines and the last three stanzas have three lines each, with the first line of each repeating the respective line of the first stanza.  The sequence of lines, then, is abcd, b – -, c – -, d – -

  1. Aw. Love makes you hope and believe in miracles.

  2. This is a cool form. Mary has been using it lately.
Sounds like she not only believes in miracles but is willing to go the distance herself to make sure it happens.

  3. You are an accomplished poet my friend. I will send you a picture for you to think about.

    1. thank you, looking forward for the picture!

  4. Most touching words..

  5. I'm trying to remember that miracles of love can happen... wonderful poem Vandana xox ♡

  6. So nice to see your Trimeric, Vandana. You really have 'aced' the form!

  7. A very poignant Trimeric. Indeed, one will do anything to defy the impending death of a loved one. Beautifully rendered.
