Memories of Spring

A few dry petals,
some crumpled leaves,
and seeds for new beginnings,
all I have as,
memories of spring.

Soon ice will met,
sun will shine,
and ground fertile,
for seeds to plant,
memories of spring.

Hope filled rain,
breeze of warmth,
and with love, care,
in full bloom will flourish,
memories of spring.

  3. Underneath all of the whiteness we have here at the moment, I DO know that spring will come again. But sometimes it is so hard to wait.

  7. Great evocative poem, Vandana! I am lucky that here the beginning if spring is already very palpable. The sun shines and warms us. Winter is now a memory.
