She

She hid her shiny face,
beneath tender fingers.
For she was mesmerized,
by his handsome gleam.

Mere mention of his name,
sent her to an unknown realm.
Where the world was drenched,
in lovable dreams.

In every hue,
she saw his reflection.
Saying something to her,
that she alone understood.

A lava of emotions,
smouldered inside her,
and wanted to erupt,
at a perfect moment.

But echoes of her love,
never reached him.
She was lost forever,
in her own dreams.

People sometimes see,
a wisp trailing along.
Finally vanishing,
among the forest floor.

Perhaps……………..
……………………………her love never died,
…………………………..or he took time to realise,
…………………………..or he was non-existent………perhaps………………

  4. I thought the ending was sad as well. Isn't there some way to communicate with another?

  5. The wisp along the forest floor makes me wonder if the one she died...? A poignant write, for sure.

  6. Very nice, Vandana. Did it make you think of those High School and/or college crushes? It did me.

  7. :( yes she died, but her emotions never died.

our body is a vessel that we have to leave , when our time is over, but the vibes of feelings they never die and continue towards next life.

    Thank you everyone.

  9. Vandana, the idea that he in fact may never have existed is intriguing. That's the most haunting kind of love, as well as the love "across the room," never spoken, never revealed... somehow she knows his heart and is smitten, only to see that slowly wither on the vine. Bittersweet and lovely. Amy
